You may have asked yourself, is it okay to wear double denim in 2022? Yes- and in nearly every configuration because it is not fashion faux pas( one of the biggest sartorial sins one can make when getting dressed). The Canadian tuxedo (aka double denim) is the one outfit that is the ultimate dad ensemble that fashion has been having a love affair with for some time: There's really nothing else like it. Wearing double denim hasn't historically been part of my wardrobe repertoire. But like all good millennials, I dabbled with the pairing back in my college days.
In 2022, I am determined to find a "me" way of wearing this trend because let's face it, the look Isn’t going anywhere. With such busy schedules and wanting to look fabulous on the go, I find myself reaching out for the easy to put together looks and pieces of denim are now a staple in my wardrobe. I've been drawn in by their Parisian-inspired nonchalance and low-maintenance appeal. You’ll want this outfit around for brunches, running errands, casual dinners — basically everything.
Pieces of Denim are stylish and chic depending on how you put them together. There is a budding trend to wear denim on denim but you have to NAIL it or look the fool. Whether it is coordinating denim shades or an oversize style, there are numerous ways to wear our favourite blues. The best bit is that it won’t ever go out of style.
Here are 3 main things to keep in mind to have the double denim trend on lock
Hues It’s best to match the colour of the wash perfectly or to go for two totally distinctive hues. If you wear baby blue jeans, you can pair this with just about anything else as long as the other piece is darker.
But, if you want to look more presentable, you should go for the same shades of denim.

Texture and style
Distressed jeans in the pants with a regular jean jacket (different shades, however) can be a good look as long as you don’t overdo it. Also, try not to pair two distressed garments at a time. If your jacket is distressed go for a neat and clean bottom.
Cut Pair a loose-fitting top with sleek tight bottom or vice versa. It would be good to have an open jacket with a non-denim shirt underneath to tone it down. You could also splash in some colour with accessories to break up the monochromatic look.
